WHO WE ARE
Koers & Associates Engineering Ltd. has provided consulting engineering services on Vancouver Island since 1987. With a staff of 25, we provide customized and personal civil engineering services that specialize in municipal infrastructure and land development projects from central office locations in Parksville and the Comox Valley.
The company is owned by its employees through an employee share ownership plan started in 1996, and which has provided for stability and continuity of service into the 21st century.
Koers & Associates’ operations are almost exclusively oriented to Vancouver Island, which provides access to a steadily growing market for our services, and provides our employees with the luxury of living and working in one of the most spectacular natural environments in B.C. and Canada.
Our vision is to continue to solidify our market share on Vancouver Island, by concentrating on providing the best solutions for the engineering needs of our existing clients, with emphasis on environmental stewardship and sustainability. We will continue to build on our reputation, with service that relies on long-term relationships with our clients and strong professional ethics.
We strive to provide outstanding customer service and maintain great client relationships. Our philosophy is to develop loyal, repeat customers. On a project-by-project basis, we emphasize quality over profitability, keeping our eye on overall long term financial health and client satisfaction.
We will look to expand our client base on the Island as opportunities arise and to prospective clients and projects that are compatible with and acceptable to our current clients. We will regularly review the services we offer and will be open to broaden the scope of our services should market conditions demand, and provided we are confident that we can ensure a sustainable and exceptional level of service to our clients.

Having developed a strong culture of employee ownership, the company has
been planning for internal ownership and management succession for many
years. On September 1, 2010 this plan culminated in the succession from
the founding partners to a group of senior engineers who have been key
employees of the company from over 10 to 20 years.
